Grieving for the Lost Gospel of Jesus Christ

Many that frequent this site would have noticed that I have disabled the comments on all articles.  For the last two weeks I have been struck by immense grief and sadness with regards to the amount of deceived believers that comment on my website.  I started this blog for those who are ’seeking’ the truth not for those who don’t care about the truth, so to be constantly lambasted by those who just don’t love the truth has taken it’s toll on me.  Not because I am tired of having to defend the Gospel of Jesus Christ but because I am deeply grieved by the thousands of possibly once true believers in the Gospel of Jesus Christ who have pushed aside the Holy Spirit (if He was even there in the first place) for another spirit that now guides their thinking.

I am told I am unloving and judgemental and full of hatred and causing a division amongst the church when in fact I love everyone so much that I would stick my neck out and rebuke those who are lying and leading believers astray.  I cried myself to sleep last night while praying asking God what does one need to do or say in order for people to see the lies intermingled with His Word.  The answer to my plea was the verse:

2 Thessalonians 2 v 10-12 “…They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

I always understood this verse but until last night I never really grasped the magnitude of this verse.  That no matter what anyone says, if the person on the receiving end ‘love not the truth’ I can talk until I turn blue in the face, I will make no impact.  Yet if someone is seeking the truth and ‘love the truth’, what I say will have an impact, for the Holy Spirit is in the person who is willing to listen and they will have confirmation from the Holy Spirit that what is spoken lines up with the Word of God.  God commands us to TEST everything against His Word that includes the so called ‘anointed’.

I’ve come to the conclusion that many people actually don’t understand what the word ‘deception’ means.  I think many people think that in order for something to be ‘evil’ or ‘ungodly’ it needs to be presented in a way that appears to be just that;  ’evil’ and ‘ungodly’.  But here in lies the deception.  It is not packaged in a blood curdling presentation, it is packaged in such a way that it incorporates the Word of God - complete with biblical scripture and pretty, happy, ear tickling words that seduce the believer into believing that ‘this surely must be from God’ because it ‘appeases my conscience or fleshly spirit’.   Yet when looked at deeper the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been removed and replaced with another gospel.

Do you think that to be deceived means that you all of a sudden do not know right from wrong?  Of course not.  The problem there, lies in the fact that because you have accepted one false doctrine or one false sign or wonder or one false prophecy, there is a good chance that as time goes by you will accept more and more until you are completely under an anti-Christ spell and you can no longer distinguish between what is true and what is false with regards to the Word of God.  Biblical scripture that has been twisted and contorted to suit the sermon or prophecy makes absolute sense to you now and once you are at this stage you will have a battle of a life time trying to grasp the truth for now the truth makes no sense.

People fail to realise that Satan knows the bible better than any of us and he knows EXACTLY how to twist the Word of God here and there to make it ’seem’ like it’s still the truth when in fact it now has a completely different meaning - a meaning that He wants you to believe for as time goes by he will introduce more and more until he’s hooked you in his stinking claws.  And if the Holy Spirit warned you and you ignore Him, then you have ‘willingly or unwillingly’ allowed an anti-Christ spirit to dictate your thoughts as the Holy Spirit takes a back seat because you ‘love not the truth’.  God will not ‘force’ you to see the truth, He will however warn you again and again until He decides to give you over to the delusion.  What a terrible predicament to land in, whereby you will be ‘lost’ because you refused to listen to Him.  I pray that you LISTEN when the HOLY SPIRIT speaks to you.  And if you are not sure if you have the Holy Spirit abiding in you then you need to accept Jesus as your saviour, repent of all your sin and receive the Holy Spirit into your life.

God says in the last days many false prophets will come and cause even the elect to be deceived.  God says that in the last days they will perform signs and wonders that will capture the imaginations of many true believers and they will be led astray.  Don’t be fooled people, please I beg of you to seek the truth and love the truth and when something seems even slightly obscure or misleading or strange it’s because it’s NOT OF GOD!!

A few years back I read the book War and Peace and in this book the author wrote about a character who had everyone grovelling at her every word no matter how stupid it was and this excerpt from this book brilliantly explains the core of deception and the gullibility of the human race in general:

“But whether because stupidity was just what was needed to run such a salon, or because those who were deceived found pleasure in the deception, at any rate it remained unexposed and Helene Bezukhova’s reputation as a lovely and clever woman became so firmly established that she could say the emptiest and stupidest things and everybody would go into raptures over every word of hers and look for a profound meaning in it of which she herself had no conception.” (emphasis added)

It you replaced the word ’salon’ with ‘church’ and place the word ‘Pastor’ in front of ‘Helene Bezukhova’ you would have a sickeningly true scenario of the church and it’s congregation today.

I am NOT insulting the ‘body of Christ’ by saying this, for the ‘body of Christ’ is made up of TRULY BORN AGAIN INDIVIDUALS.  They can be scattered and not even be in one place, i.e., a church building.  Anyone who considers the ‘church’ to be the ‘body of Christ’ is sorely mistaken!  For there are many churches and many denominations but only a few within these are TRULY BORN AGAIN.

Within a ‘church’ you will have those who love the truth and those who don’t, those who have the Holy Spirit abiding in them and those who don’t, those who listen to the Holy Spirit and those who don’t, those who seek after false words, signs and wonders and those who don’t and those who will be persecuted for loving the truth and those who will do the persecuting!

If only 1 person visiting my blog can see the truth (for the Holy Spirit has led them to seek the truth and understand) then it will be worth every moment of sadness I have had to endure trying to convince all the others who love not the truth.  If my sadness is anything to go by I can only begin to imagine (actually no, I can’t) how sad God must feel when He sees His children being led astray.

The wheat will be seperated from the tares:

Matthew 13:24-30 “Jesus presented another parable to them, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went away. But when the wheat sprouted and bore grain, then the tares became evident also. The slaves of the landowner came and said to him, “Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?” And he said to them, “An enemy has done this!” The slaves said to him, “Do you want us, then, to go and gather them up?” But he said, “No; for while you are gathering up the tares, you may uproot the wheat with them. “Allow both to grow together until the harvest; and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, ‘First gather up the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them up; but gather the wheat into my barn’”

In the agricultural society of Jesus’ time, many farmers depended on the quality of their crops. An enemy sowing weeds would have sabotaged a business. Such tares in the parable were likely darnel because that weed, until matured, looked like wheat.  So in effect it was difficult to distinguish the two from one another (Deception).  This parable of the wheat and the tares compares a field (church) with good and bad seed; with the saved and unsaved in the church.  Expecting to find the perfect church is neither achievable nor Biblical.  Until Jesus returns, the church will always have a mix of true and false believers as the church struggles against division and strife as false believers put forth agendas and demands apart from God’s will. 1

Jesus Christ will one day establish true righteousness. After He raptures the true Church out of this world, God will pour out His righteous wrath on the world. During that tribulation, He will draw others to saving faith in Jesus Christ. At the end of the tribulation, all unbelievers will be judged for their sin and unbelief; then, they will be removed from God’s presence. True followers of Christ will reign with Him. What a glorious hope for the “wheat”! 1

So from now on I am turning off the comments section on each article I write.  If the Holy Spirit has led you to this site and you love the Word of God then you will ‘hear and understand’ what I am saying.  If you don’t want to hear or don’t love the truth all I can do is leave you in God’s mighty powerful hands as only He knows how sincere your heart is;  whether you ‘love the truth’ or ‘find pleasure in being deceived’.

James 5:19-20 “My brothers, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring him back, 20 remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.”
