Choo Thomas - Heaven is so Real (Is it Really?)

One book in particular that has sold probably over a million copies by now is Choo Thomas’ ‘Heaven is so Real’. Jesus repeatedly tells Choo (page after page I must add) what a great servant she is and she was the only person He could use to convey a message that the Bible obviously couldn’t do. After the 10th time of hearing what a great servant she is in her book (and I was only up to page 33) I began to wonder what I was doing wrong in my life.

This book ripped my spirit to shreds. I started to cry a lot reading this book, because as far as Choo is concerned, “… none of our salvations are secure until the end. We must do our best while we have a chance”. I prayed for about 3 days, crying a lot, questioning God what I need to do to become more pleasing to Him. The answer I got was, “throw the book away”. I then started questioning this answer. Was this answer from God or from Satan. If Choo is really ‘anointed’ then throwing this book away is going against God, because Choo says, “Every word in this book is true. The words of Jesus have been transcribed exactly as He said them to me.” But if the words I heard were from God, then this book is not of Him and I must get rid of it to save myself from deception. I prayed some more and cried some more. The Holy Spirit spoke to me more and more and reminded me that, ‘He did not give us a spirit of fear, but of a sound mind’ and to throw the book away. So I stood up, walked over to the bin, tore the book up and threw it away. I felt instant release, my salvation was again intact (because we are saved by grace and not by works).

Many people will read this book and immediately think that it’s full of false doctrine and not let it bother them. But many will read this book and because of their lack of biblical knowledge (like myself) will be drawn into doubt and fear, and will have a battle setting themselves free. But the worst thing is that many will read this book and think it’s great (cos it gives them a warm fuzzy feeling), and be caught up in a deception that will ultimately destroy them spiritually if they don’t seek the Truth.

If anyone is reading this book and is not spiritually strong, I strongly suggest you throw it away and quickly. I do not for one second think the ‘Jesus’ we know took her to heaven. It was another ‘Jesus’ and as demonic as can be. I can point out so many weird things in her book that are definitely not of God, but I lost count. Due to the fact that I threw the book away I can’t now go and pull out all these false teachings and write them down here, but I have gone onto the net and I found this website below, which pretty much explains everything this book is about. If only I had seen this before reading the book…anyhow.

Here is a letter that I found on the internet written by Pastor Keith Gibson in response to a letter from a Malaysian minister concerned about Choo Thomas.

Dear Rev. _______,I am very sorry for the delay in responding to your question concerning Choo Thomas. Hopefully, I can give you enough information to be worth the wait. I am sorry to hear that you have a friend who has been caught up in the movement and even sadder to hear of the impact the book is having in Malaysia. God bless you as you seek to stand for the truthfulness of his word.
The website that you asked about is basically a selling point for a number of teachers who have visited either heaven or hell. That seems to be their only reason for existing. Choo Thomas has a website of her own at www.choothomas.com.

As you may know, Thomas’s story is that the Lord personally took her to heaven 17 times or more over a period of about one month. The purpose for these revelations was so that she could write a book that would convince people that heaven is real because apparently the Bible is not sufficient.

Each of these visits to heaven is preceded by violent manifestations in which Thomas loses control of her body. This loss of control continues today whenever she is worshipping or performing her healing dance. Here are some quotes:

“On the night of January 19, the Lord’s presence was so intense in my bedroom that I shook, perspired and felt very weak for more than an hour” (page 7) “Because of the trembling of my body that always accompanied the Lord’s visits, Roger was now sleeping in the guest bedroom” (page 14) “During the night of February 12, my body shook more violently than it ever had. I was almost hurled from the bed because it was so forceful. I tried to grab the sheet to steady myself, but I couldn’t because I had no control over my body. The shaking was unremittingly forceful, and I grew afraid.” (page 17)

These all occurred during the visitations. Here is what is happening now.

“Sometimes the power of His anointing on my hands and arms is so strong that I feel as if my hands are actually breaking apart. One Sunday morning my hand touched my eyes thirty-six times, and before each of these touches, my hands made seven different strange movements.” (page 205)

She now also claims that God has told her that when she dances in church no one is allowed to touch her hands before she dances so that her hands will remain holy. Further God told her that she is never to stand at the back of the other worshippers but always in front and that the entire platform belongs to her.

These manifestations sure seem to have more in common with demonic possession or kundalini arousal than anything to do with the Holy Spirit.

The book is full of false doctrine. Choo repeatedly undercuts the authority, sufficiency and power of the Holy Scriptures. Here is a quote from the front page of her website:

“Heaven is so Real is our Lord Jesus’ end time book. He only used my body to write this book. He wants all believers and unbelievers to read it and prepare for His coming. He said, He is giving people a chance to know what it takes to enter His Kingdom through this book. Remember, none of our salvations are secure until the end. We must do our best while we have a chance.”

Notice that her book is on parallel with scripture because Jesus wrote it. Also notice that salvation is not secure and is not completely by grace. We must secure it ourselves.

Here are some quotes from the book itself.

“My daughter, you are an End-Times prophetess,’ the Lord told me, “and you are living proof of My Word and My prophecies…….”He told me that many people don’t believe His words and prophecies, and He said even some Christians do not believe them.” (page 168)

“He wants me to serve as living proof of the Bible and His prophecies, because many people do not believe what they read in the Bible, nor do they believe He is coming soon for His people.” (page 177)

“He had shown me how desperate many people are to know the truth about heaven, and I realized emphatically that my book would be the means whereby they could really know.” (124)

Notice that her book will be able to tell people the truth about heaven and truly convince them whereas the Bible is unable to do this.

Here’s more:

“Every word in this book is true. The words of Jesus have been transcribed exactly as He said them to me.” (page 153)
“Like John, I had been called to write, and my mission was the same as his-to let people know that the marriage supper of the Lamb has already been prepared, and blessed are those who are invited to be there on the last day.” (129)

Later in the book, Thomas reveals that not every Christian goes to heaven. Those who are not obedient enough spend eternity wandering in a desert.

“When we got to the top, I looked over a brown and lifeless valley. Everywhere there was brown. The whole region seemed to be filled with dead grass.“I noticed multitudes of people who were wearing sand-colored robes roaming aimlessly in the vicinity of the pit’s yawning mouth. Their heads were hanging low, and they looked very dejected and hopeless. “Who are these people, Lord?” I asked.

“They are disobedient ‘Christians” “How long will they have to stay in this barren, lifeless place? “Forever, My daughter. The only ones who will enter My kingdom are the pure of heart-My obedient children.” (page 46 see also page 249)

Notice that these people are not lost and are not cast into hell. Thomas has discovered a third place where people will spend eternity.

Elsewhere, Thomas tells us some of the conditions for actually getting inside heaven.

“Innocence, trust, purity of heart, fascination, a sense of wonder, belief, joy, happiness, present-moment living-all these are some of the magical qualities of childhood that God wants us to exhibit to GET TO HEAVEN” (133)
The book is patently arrogant. Over and over again Thomas informs us that Jesus told her that she is His special daughter. She is his obedient daughter. He can use her because her heart is so pure.

Elsewhere in the book she tells us that if we do not believe the book and rejoice in it, we will not be prepared for Jesus’ coming. We may have to endure the terror of the tribulation period or we may not make it in the gates of heaven. She claims on her website that we should read the book over and over.

It is interesting that in the foreword to the book, David Yonggi Cho writes the following, “Please do not consider this a theological thesis or a book on doctrine. Just read it and enjoy it as the author’s personal experience and testimony about what she has seen and heard in heaven.”
I suspect that Cho wrote that because even Cho can tell that the book is terribly flawed doctrinally. But his words are fascinating. We are supposed to accept the claims that this woman makes about her visits to heaven and her conversations with the Lord but we can’t accept the doctrine that the “Lord” actually speaks to her. Can you imagine saying that about any other Word from God?

Pastor ___________, Choo Thomas is a heretic and a false prophet in the first degree. I pray that the eyes of your friend will be opened to the truth.

Blessings as you battle for our Savior,

Pastor Keith Gibson

************
As for Choo’s website. She has a section dedicated to people who have had visions of heaven and hell. These visions are scripturally false as well and contain a lot of weird stuff – EXTRA biblical stuff that’s not in the bible.

One thing I find interesting is that Jesus has told most of these people who have had visions of heaven and hell, that they need to go out there guns blazing and tell everyone that He is coming really soon, sooner than we think. But we as Christians know this. We know Jesus is coming back really soon, because it’s written all over the Bible. Why go to such great lengths to take someone to heaven umpteen times just to tell them what we already know? Because Satan knows we are gullible and believe everything we hear or read – he will slip in lies in between the truths to deceive us into believing the whole thing.

I pray that Choo Thomas seeks the truth about what has happened to her so that she may be set free from this evil deception.

    Hi Deborah!

Im a regular over on the Sign of Jonah blog and I saw your pingback and clicked on your blog.

I had a similar experience with the ‘what-ifs’ of leaving garbage like this behind.

Are you OK? I know this sort of thing can tear your heart to shreds.

I thank the TRUE God of the REAL heavens that you followed the right path!!

    Blessings,

    Amanda

  2. Deborah Says:

Thank you Amanda, yes I am ok! It was a horrible few days for me (my husband would go to sleep at night and I would sit on the sofa in the living room and cry lol). But when I listen to the Holy Spirit, wow, what an impact it had. When I think back to what happened and I look at what I know now, I can kick myself lol. Now when I read stuff the Holy Spirit lets me know almost immediately if something is not right.

The lady that told me about this book thinks it’s great. When I told her that this book is completely wrong in every way she said to me, ‘really? this woman is anointed by God, how can that be? You can’t be so judgemental, you will have to answer before God one day”

I smiled at her and said, ‘really? who anointed her? The manifestations she speaks of are demonic and are no where to be seen in the bible. Make a choice, believe her or believe the one and only word of God. God has given us the Holy Spirit to speak to us and protect us from stuff like this, if you don’t listen and you believe stuff like this it will destroy you in the long run.” I think I said other stuff to her but I can’t remember what exaclt.y

She looked at me with this really strange look, turned, and walked away from me. A few weeks later I saw her again and she told me about this great new church she was going to and that I should come with her. The Holy Spirit immediately said to me, ‘no’. So to be polite I told her I can’t and gave some excuse.

Later I found out that this church was a newly established church trying to imitate the ‘first’ church that came after Jesus. It’s filled with strange old testament laws and some of its bishops are bishops from the Anglican church. But the best part is the guy who started the church had a ‘vision from God’ that he should start this church. Oh boy…

Satan is sooooo subtle with his dealings. Some of them are blatantly in your face wrong and others are just confusing to most people who end up accepting these lies because the know no better (is this an excuse? not knowing any better? No, it’s not) - Most of these ‘anointed’ people’s writings are so suble in their ways (at face value it seems Godly, but underneath it is riddled with deception).

I am beginning to wonder how many people out there do actually have the ‘real’ Holy Spirit in them. I think a lot of people have pushed the Holy Spirit aside for another spirit - this spirit lies and tells you that if you ‘test’ the spirits you are being judgemental etc. This spirit will try it’s best to make sure it deceives you; that when you read books or go to a church where strange things are happening, it will tell you, ‘ohhhhh yessss, believe it, it’s true, this is God at work, He can do anything He wants too’ - however strange it may be.

I understand everyones concerns regarding this book, but I think if it contradicts the bible in anyway then ill have to agree th[at it's wrong]

Edit: Thapelo you didn’t finish your sentence so I added what I thought you might have wanted to say. It you come back let me know what it should be in another comment and I will fix it.

  4. Clo-Ann Says:

    Hello Deborah,
Thanks for the thorough review.. i was told about the book by a woman and i immediately had doubts. But I got it as a present and within the first few pages, the Holy Spirit blocked me from reading it. Just as it has with Harry Potter, Da Vici code… It’s just this inside feeling of wanting to vomit. It was also when she (choo thomas) said something about Benny Hinn being a real christian and i was like ok, that’s it.. another deception!! it goes to show how subtle Satan is. Anyways, I was reading a book by Rebecca Brown: He came to set the captives free. Have you red it? If so:
PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT IT :)
THERE ARE SOME ELEMENTS THAT SEEM REAL, IT’S JUST THAT I’M HAVING A FEW DOUBTS. & I REALLY NEED A 2ND OPINION. THANKS IN ADVANCE AND MAY THE LORD JESUS CHRIST KEEP YOU SETTLED IN HIS TRUTH!
    Clo

ps: if it’s also another deception, i think i’m just gonna stick to THE 1 & ONLY KING JAMES VERSION HOLY BIBLE for my spiritual food.

Deborah said: I tried to email you but your email address failed.

  5. Deborah Says:

    Hi Clo-Ann

Nope, I have not read that book yet, but I shall get hold of a copy and let you know. It might take me a while to read it as I just started a new job yesterday and they’ve sent me on courses on which I have to write exams for in a week’s time *sniffs*. But I will see what I can do in the shortest amount of time.

I think if you are have having doubts there is a good chance the Holy Spirit is telling you something is not right. My mother (and I) came to the conclusion the other day, that because of the amount of ‘rubbish’ out there it’s better to just read the bible and let the Holy Spirit guide you in understanding. And the more you read the more the Holy Spirit gives you understanding.

My mom was telling me the other day that she came across 3 different websites where the ‘pastors’ made sense as per scripture. However as my mom continued to read further into these websites she realised that these ‘pastors’ had OTHER unscriptural beliefs and once again she was back to square one on the giant false prophet chess board lol. It’s soooo easy to be deceived it’s actually not even funny anymore (not that it was ever funny). She now reads books and websites to keep herself up to date with the latest deception, not for spiritual food. She would rather get the truth directly from the bible. And I think she is sooooo right!!! (mothers and their wisdom) :)

Having said that not all people out there are false (as we all know) but to try discern 24/7 is really trying. It’s like looking through a rubbish bin for a good apple to eat. Just go to where you know all the apples will be good all the time - the bible.

God bless you and speak to you soon! I will post my review in a new post and let you know via email.

  9. Michelle Says:

    Dear Deborah,
i am so glad i have happened upon yours and others comments about Choo Thomas’ “Heaven is so real”. As someone who has been trying to read the book and not having much luck due to time and some of the content disturbing me, i feel i will not. I was given the book to read by a friend and fellow church member - who found it inspired her to study the bible more - and have had a lot of mixed feelings. i myself have been re-dicovering the Lord after being apart from him for a few years and started to find the book disheartening for myself and the ones i love. i had also just lost my mother and even feared for her soul although she was a good christian woman, which devastated me to even have those thoughts. but i believe my mum is with The Lord, and her family that has already passed, and i know that i will see her again also. i feel pity for Choo who feels this is not the case for her family and friends. We are all human and can not be perfect, so wouldn’t that make it impossible for us to get to heaven according to Choo’s visions? the bible is the only true word.
God’s blessings to all, and also to Choo so that she may find peace in what is the truth - God gave us his only son so that we can ALL be saved!!!

  10. 1arabella Says:

    Dear Deborah,
please do not cry so much. Rejoice in the Lord, you are His’ !
When I realised, that it will be really only few who enter the narrow gate, I was disappointed and complained about that. Jesus has already humbled himself to death.
What do people think, who they are, to achieve honor and glory and comfort by making a decision for Jesus ?
Well, a cheap prey for deception !
I read the book of Choo Thomas till p.29 , waiting for a message from Jesus in order to test it against scripture.
First message was about tithing, enough to throw the book away. It was so obvious for me, that she felt so underestimated in her church and wanted to show everybody how wonderful she is, no shame at all to tell
stinking-to-heaven lies about Jesus. She seems to need Jesus to tell her, how precious she is. I am afraid, she will hear the very opposite soon.
Some years ago , when I was in an evangelical peer-group,
I told about feelings of doubt and mistrust against a certain “sister”, I felt guilty for my negative affections and wanted help. They rebuked me and told me, I have to see her with the Lord’s eyes. Which I asked from Jesus, I asked him, to show me, how she looks like in His eyes.
Then I saw her in a vision. Guess, what I saw.
Since this first experience I frequently ask to be able to see with his eyes and I have not seen much beauty since then.
Guided by the spirit, I learned to discern and that killed my illusions and romantic ideas.
Jesus never promised, it would be nice to walk along with Him. To my opinion the biggest trap in modern christianity is the lie about God so loved the world and God loves you , come as you are… The true gospel is different : unless you filthy sinner do not loose your covetous ego, you can NOT
have access to Jesus. By His grace, our old self dies and we are born again through His spirit. This is “taking our cross”
to know, we have to be punished with death, which we deserve. this spiritual death should have cured us from all pride and selfishness.
Was certainly not so with Choo Thomas.

  11. Deborah Says:

    Thank you Arabella :)

    >> I read the book of Choo Thomas till p.29 , waiting for a message from Jesus in order to test it against scripture.
First message was about tithing, enough to throw the book away.

Believe it or not the tithing part was obvious to me too, yet I still let this woman get to me. It was quite a while ago that this happend, but I have learnt a very good lesson from the Holy Spirit.

    >> By His grace, our old self dies and we are born again through His spirit.

Yes, I was once one of those ‘Christians’ who was neither hot nor cold. In fact I was not a Christian (I labelled myself one, however it was just a label). God brought me to my knees and this is when I was truly saved and I CHANGED my ways. And one can only change their ways when the Holy Spirit is in your life - there is no other way. I still to this day battle with certain sins in my life, but the Holy Spirit constantly convicts me and lets me know without fail that what I am doing is wrong. If I did not have the Holy Spirit in my life I really don’t know where I would be right now, and this goes for a lot of people out there - where is the Holy Spirit in their lives because I see no conviction. All I see is good works, even the unbeliever does good works and in most cases better than the ‘Christian’. The Holy Spirit is the ‘evidence’ of being truly saved.

  12. Wickus Says:

Thanks for this post Deborah. I am halfway trough the book and I must say I was disturbed in my spirit from page 1. After Googling Choo Thomas I found this great post. Deception is all around us today and we must cling to our Lord and Saviour to keep us in His truth. And His words are true: The truth shall set you free!

    Amen, bless His name!

PS. I published this post on my blog. Hope you don’t mind…

  13. Deborah Says:

    Hi Wickus

Not a problem :) There are so many people out there seeking to know if this Choo Thomas woman is for real, so the more info that gets posted out there the better. Will make it easier for them to find :)

    God Bless!!!

My brother send me this book and it took me 5 seconds to see red flags all over it just flipping through….

I didn’t feel right from the day he told me he’s sending it.

On the first page i opened it she tells us that she saw Jesus on the eve of 24 December in His b-day outfit complete with a crown….Jesus had no b-day on the 24 th.That gave it away at the word go,she also tells us that Michael the angel is only 7ft. tall and weigh lb. 300. Yikes for this lady.
    Very deceived by satan.

  15. Wickus Says:

    Thanks Deborah.

Its good to find someone who is defending the faith with me from South Africa. I do like your blog!!

    God bless you 2.

  16. Karen Says:

    Dear Deborah

I happened upon this site, as I wanted to find out more about the author of this book.

I am so glad I read your blog, as I am nearly at the end of the book and it has really depressed me a lot. A friend of mine told me to stop reading it, as it doesnt sound right, as it should be uplifting and edifying and not the opposite. However, i kept on reading it and came to the conclusion that i am not going to heaven - according to Choo. I also couldnt understand her mother being in hell - how could god send her there when she didnt even know about him to believe in him in the first instance!!!!!

My faith is weak as being a christian is a struggle for me, along with illness i am struggling with. I feel better now, knowing that a lot of you out there believe she was deceived.

  17. Deborah Says:

    Dear Karen

You are saved by Grace and not through works. Choo’s message is solely on works and having to live a life that is focused on how pleasing you can be to God in order to get into heaven. No person on this planet can fit into Choo’s perfect box of holiness. It’s impossible and God knows this, this is why He gave us Jesus :)

Don’t be depressed :( It saddens me to hear this. I suggest you focus your reading material on the bible and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you while doing so. For now, don’t read books written by other people.

Can I ask you to do this, start praising and thanking God every day. Think of things you can praise and thank Him for even if they are tiny little things. In my own personal experience praising and thanking God (even when times are bad) has a tremendous effect on your spiritual life - it definitely helps to bring you closer to God. And as time goes by you realise there are lots of things to be thankful for.

    >> I also couldnt understand her mother being in hell - how could god send her there when she didnt even know about him to believe in him in the first instance!!!!!

As for Choo’s mother in hell, yes when I read that I was kind of shocked. The question you should have asked was, ‘why on earth would ‘Jesus’ show Choo her mother in hell? Is her ‘Jesus or whatever you want to call him for he is another Jesus’ that nasty that he would show her this knowing full well how much it would torment her?’ Well that sounds like Satan to me. Full Stop.

As for God sending her mother to hell when she didn’t even know who God was in the first place is something we can’t really answer for 1) Maybe she did know or 2) Satan’s mission is to make sure you never hear about Jesus never mind come to accept Him and unfortunately this is something that millions upon millions of people on this earth will succumb to all because of being deceived through their own families unbelief. So, if a father rejects God and takes his family into sin, the children will suffer the consequences.

Exodus 34:6-7 - “Then the Lord passed by in front of him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in loving kindness and truth; 7 who keeps loving kindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, visiting the iniquity of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations.”

  18. servant Says:

Another book that comes with a deceptive guise is “Conversations with God” by Neale Donald Walsch.

Whoa, the first few pages I was uncomfortable, and then when he started talking about jesus telling him that we are gods in training, that’s when I threw the book.
I had to wait till the next morning to return it to the library and had every intention of leaving a note in about how deceptive it was but I knew the librarians checking it in would take it out.

This book sits in the “Christian” section of the Library and needs to be taken out.

  19. MTHOKO Says:

Thnk you very much Deborah for the blog. I have just finished the book as well, Havean is so real. I must say i was shocked and amazed. I can only say one thing though, maybe we need to fast and pray more as christians. The Devil is out there to deceive us. We need to be aware that sometimes the Devil has a way of not letting us know the truth. He knows that the truth is what will set us free. I am a born again christian, please understand this. I am not saying that you are all wrong but i just want you to fast and pray for 3 days and ask Jesus guide you.

Personally, i do believe every word in that book. I could relate to some of the things she was saying. The reason i say that i once had a personal experience with Jesus.

Lets just say its happened twice. Those days i was too innocent and was faithful in my thithe. I remember that i had fasted for over a month. I was leading a pure life. Jesus appeared to me in a dream. He took me to one of the places she mentioned. He even gave me an answer to my prayers. He gave me a scripture to read. He said he was going to show me what plans he had for me. He showed me in form of a vision.

What i can say Jesus is everything that Choo describes. Well after visitation my life started changing gradually. I am happy to say what he showed me is now coming to pass.

After reading that book my spirit just connected and most of the puzzle just cleared.

    MTHOKO

  20. Deborah Says:

    Hi Mthoko

    >> After reading that book my spirit just connected and most of the puzzle just cleared.

Your spirit only connect (with what, I am not sure) after reading her book? Why didn’t it ‘connect’ when you read the bible? For surely the ONLY Word of God is the BIBLE and the bible ONLY? It is the COMPLETE word of God - no one can add to it!

I have serious doubts as to whether the Jesus you saw in your dreams was actually Jesus and not Satan disguised as an angel of Light. Just because what was said in your dreams is now coming to pass does not mean it was Jesus who gave you the dreams in the first place.

Satan doesn’t have to come to you all demonic and horrible, he can come to you looking just like Jesus (or what you think Jesus looks like). If you want him to come to you looking all demonic and horrible just go ahead and reject these dreams of yours in Jesus Christ’s name and watch Satan reveal his true colours, watch him bring spiritual turmoil into your life, watch him attack your salvation. (Edit: see Arabella’s comment below).

I pray you see the truth as to what’s happening to you.

  21. 1arabella Says:

    MTHOKO,
I am going to tell you something, I have only told to my closest friends. As a young woman of 25 , still catholic then, I took the habit, before falling asleep to command my spirit into the hand of God, so I was not surprised, when, 15 years later, I was in heaven, I don’t know if in the spirit or in the flesh (see 1 Cor). I saw many saints, some angels, and very spartanic and simply furnished big rooms, few gold, no flowers walls white, soft pastell colours of dress…
no ornaments. Together with others I was sitting on a big carpet at Jesus feet, listening to him preaching about
his kingdom. We could not see his face, or see wounded hands. But we all (I felt a kind of unity with the others without knowing them) felt his holiness and awesome, very awesome majesty. He was distant, he adressed some personally with their names, answered questions they had in their hearts but nothing like you are so precious. He,
very gently and authoritatively rebuked all of us for certain errors and misconduct…
I don’t know if I dreamed or was awake, when I had this vision. I reported my husband, he said, make sure, you are not deceived.
For that reason I bought books, the first I opened, was Choo Thomas, I tried to compare her heaven with mine, my experiences with hers. What I felt is, that she is wrong (lying or demonized) and I thought, when she is wrong, so I must be wrong too. I underwent a period of devastation and felt like having lost my salvation. This is the worst experience I ever suffered in my live, loosing Jesus.
My husband tested every detail to scripture and he found no contradiction to it.

    Fasting: Please update Jesus’ temptation
See, what happencs, when you are fasting for along period : THe devil comes to tempt you !!!
He uses bible verses, puts them out of context, twists them, misuses them for wrong motives.
Fast and you will meet the devil. Are you sure, you can resist him ? Judge yourself, I can’t do that for you.
I am fasting often, but never again longer than 12 hours
because I am not interested to meet the devil again ( I once fasted for 70 days, eating very few sometimes)
You were tempted and you could not fight, because you do not have the sword of the Spirit., which is the Word of God, Jesus, who is the Word.
    I will pray for you.

  22. denise Says:

isabred , your right,i had that same experience. i fasted for 3 days.then fell asleep. as i dozed off this darknes covered my room and it was likei had dead lockon me, my soul was being pulled out of mybody.i had no control of what was happening to me,i could’nt move or speak, then i heard this satnic laughter andi remmeber not being scared, myfocus was on jesus as i repeated his name in my mind.finally this attack leti me go and my body hit the bed.the devil does attack us when we are weak.and remmeber i was fasting!if the devil can attack jesus what makes you think he wont attack us?

  23. MTHOKO Says:

I do agree with you when you say the Devil can appear to be like like Jesus etc. Yes, the devil shakes and tries to tempt us when we are fasting. What i have realised is that, its not just about starving yourself. When you are fasting the LORD gets moved as well. That is why when i am fasting i study the bible more and i pray more. I do not know about you but i always feel very close to GOD when i am on the fast. The truth is most of the time when i pray to GOD during fast i always get answers that i am looking for.

I believe that the devil would not try to disguise JESUS and call himself Jesus, and when i rebuke the devil in Jesus name, he still resist it. There is power in the Name of Jesus, that if you truly believe and have faith. You have to believe me when i tell you that it was so real. My dream was so real. The Devil would not have told me to ‘ believe and pray more and be patient’ . That did not sound like the Devil to me.

I know that the Devil is deceitful.

What is your take on this one!!

  24. 1arabella Says:

    MTHOKO,
It would be very easy to resist the devil or to judge the book of Choo Thomas, when they had horns on the head.
How do you discern a bill of hundred dollar ? How can you know it is genuine or counterfeit ? It looks like and it buys you something as long as you find one who does not discern either. If you know the original well, you will find the very small details that make the difference.
If you love me and obey all my commandments, my father will love you and we will come to you and make our home with you…(John 14,20 +)
When Jesus has made his home in you, he is there and you
are filled with the spirit, so you need not make any effort to speak or to be spoken to by the spirit .
Fasting is an act of self-control or concentration and I fast to stay focussed on the person whom I am praying for.
I do not fast in order to please God or to make him do anything for me.
Jesus said, the father nows already, what we want !

  25. Casey Says:

Your fasting should be a time of total concentration on the lord, but people seem to forget that this is the devils world until jesus comes back. There is a lot of demonic attacks being done on many people in this time and age. The devil can disquise himself as light or darkness. Hes very tricky and he knows all our misconceptions on him already.I am not saying to totally disbeleif everything you hear but you should test the spirit in which it comes from. let me tell you , when I was really fasting, drawing closer to god, I found that the devil could still seep through, and I wondered if there was something wrong with me. I think to have god work on our behalfs in any situation we go through in this life is an action of faith towards god. These days you barely see people casting out demons and working against spiritual atacks towrds the enemy, and thats exactly what jesus christ did.You even see people preaching to cast them out, but things still appear the same in the next a couple of weeks, the same promblems, . You know why? because hey dnt beleive in the thing they confess, which means satsn still has power of them, and every bad situation they encounter, whether cancer or death in the family they willingly accept. They teach a bout this and that but the people are still suffering. My god is a god of action not of silence, and sometimes we feel we have to do this and that for god to hear us but we are only alowing satan to deceive us even more. Until i came to a church when I saw real things happening. There was’nt no falling down of people under the power, but people casting out demons out of young kids ,and them coming out, atually fighting back with ministers, because the demon were persitant, but when they did, they were forbidden to enter back in. There was this one girl who died and she was a round 16, and then they called the minister of god, and he told them to take dirt from the ground and place in her hands and she would arise. Everything was done in faith. They did’nt have to cry and cry, saying god what we must do for you to do hear us, god just excepts us to beleive, and because the people beleived in the sim ple instructions in faith, the girl arose, and I met her father. Doesn”t this soun d familiar? john, luke, matt, mark}Remember it was not in the paster but in god through the instructions. Dont be deceived.God is not far away like most of you think. If we beleive in jesus christ then we have power over the devil through our lord. The kingdom of god comes in power, not in deed or in tougue, but in miracles and signs. healing is ours. “remember its only by our faith we are made whole”.FAITH.Any doctrine that cause guiltyness, condemnation and does’nt allow you to persevere, is not from god because God is not a god of confusion. And remember the devil can remove your promblem and place it somewhere else a year later, dont be deceived. If you want more infor mation on the church I am talking a bout near you, then ask me and I’ll post it. If you are looking for an answer in your life and situation, well then you came across the right post. If you beleive you will be healed, it will happen. Many people come when they have 2 weeks, 3 days to live and they have ben healed, people who have aids have ben healed, the blind see, and all types of mental and physical promblems. There is nothing to impossible. If you believe then act in faith.Take a step of faith.Your whole life will be changed, and because you are gonna be blessed your family will be blessed two.

  26. Stan Risner Says:

    Casey,
Deuteronomy 29:29 tells us that the secret things belong unto God but the revealed things belong unto us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law. Perhaps a safe conclusion one can draw when surrounded by experiences that seem to defy our understanding of the Scripture is that God is bigger than His book…or at least my understanding of it. If your church leadership does not become caught up with a self-promoting attitude and just allows God the freedom to be Himself in your midst there will probably be a lot of discomfort for a lot of people. He is surely capable to heal and perform miracles through the hands of His people. And people today in our technologically advanced world really are not much different in their basic needs than people Jesus ministered to during the days of His flesh. Yet it is very possible that some of the same people who were healed by Jesus were in the mob that cried for Him to be crucified. The Deuteronomy passage says that there is an object to the things God reveals about Himself or about any other matter that He chooses to disclose. That has to do with conformity to His standard and that standard has to do with behavior. I sincerely trust that the revival taking place in your church is founded upon the Word, Person and finished Work of the Lord Jesus Christ who is God come in the flesh. It was not without precedent that the Apostle John told us to test the spirits to see if they were of God. If the experiences of miracles and healings don’t stand the testing and evaluating of the Standard of the Word they could be just another guise of the enemy meant to deceive and lead astray. And when I mean test I mean using the entire Scripture from Genesis to Revelation, not just a few “proof” texts from some favorite Scriptures current with the “prophetic stream”. We are commanded to be on guard but we are also free to enjoy and participate if God is at work “changing the landscape” in your local body and community. The Spirit’s conviction of sin, righteousness and judgment should be happening simutaneous with lives being transformed, families being restored, healings that last and Jesus being gloridied and magnified above all of these experiences. If the miracles, etc., become an end in themselves and not merely a means to an end (the local Body of Christ being more and more conformed to the image of Christ) then the revival will pass soon and will become merely a memory of the few. But if it is the genuine article God will make it clear He is abiding there. I trust the latter is true!

  27. Casey Says:

Stan, I see your point. But its only when people are completely free they can whole heartly serve god. I dont care how much people want to deny it, but they come to church looking for answers, and when they dont receive them, they completely accept there situation. Jesus christ dyed 2000 years a go for a reason, and many people seem to forget that. Sadly these days many chirstians(even with the ones who have sweet hearts] are dying still with sickness. The faith that many christians claim to have is not really the faith that god is talking a bout. If you know jesus christ exists, that alone is not enough, yes you can believe hes lord but thats still not alone to heal you. Thats one thing I had to learn.Thats why theres many christians out there who are suffering, and who wish for death but would’nt tell you.Dont be deceived. Those who believe they are the children of faith, which are inherited from abraham, which is the father of faith, receive the promises and abraham never begged. He was very blessed, and because his life was transformed in every aspect he was completely focused on god, not on his promblems. We are supposed to be set apart. Not knowing the answers to our promblems[which mainly comes from the devil},will rather keep us in the world, being totally ignorant of the truth.Just like those coming to jesus for healing, for them to truly know who he was and beleive was they had to see his power in there lives. They did’nt say lord jesus I beleive you,you dont have to heal us. They were’nt going out with out a fight and therefore because of that{there action of faith healed them}and remember you should know a tree by there fruits. The fruits that he is talking a bout is the by healings, testimonies, the effects, or else everything is done in vain. I dont care how much love there is, satan could still have us in bondage keeping us from the truth because of the deceptions of the heart. In this church people come in poor and by there faith they walk out blessed with jobs the following week, and god does’nt even stop there, he then begins to heal them physically, emotionally and spirtuality and because of that they give off there lives and work and even live in the churches ,serving god. They have no life because they found it. They did’nt have to work to get it but only Beleived. There in the churches 24 hours a day. They go to different churches where ever they are needed and they come from all parts of the world.Religious, atheists and all types of people walk in all types of promblems and hin drances caused by the devil and they are casted out, healed and set free. They go home laughing with hope burning in there hearts. The god we serve is real and is active, not just 2000 years a go but now and today. So for all those who believe the same god is not lazy to act in your life.Only those who believe will see the promises. There is hope for your suffering and there is nothing you should accept. The devil is a liar but his lies can only get him so far.

  28. Nicholas Says:

Please note that Jesus is real and if we are real to Him, He will become more real to us. Remember that the Apostles that walked with Jesus, did not have the revelation that Paul had. This tells me that I can’t judje what I cannot understand.

Choo Thomas went to heaven, however the Lord somehow wanted us to notice her naive soul. It is true that only the pure in heart will see the face of God. It’s already in the scriptures, however we do not notice it.

The Lord in His love and kindness finds ways in this last days to reveal us about heaven and hell. And you know why? Because we are going to spend eternity there!!!

  29. hunde Says:

this is for chu you made me to wake up i don’t have other words to say God bless you .

  30. Deborah Says:

    Dear hunde

So what you’re saying is you’ve never read the bible? For everything you need to ‘wake up’ is in the bible!

  31. Prakash Says:

If Choo Thomas is lying, why then she tells everyone she meets everywhere about Jesus? I remember telling everyone that I bumped into about Jesus EVERYDAY when I got saved a few years back (I come from a Hindu background) . That’s a sign of salvation when someone accepts Christ. Such joy filled my heart so much so that I couldn’t help but talk about Jesus’ love and compassion to others who do not know Jesus. But I do admit the same passion and joy has somewhat faded away after a few years maybe because of my slackness in the things of God. But still I tell people about Jesus all the time. (I’m from Malaysia).

I know Choo mentions about tithes and obedience that are fundamental to enter into the Kindgom of God. Nothing unholy (or disobedient) can enter. So, what’s wrong with that ? The truth can sometimes hurt us especially when we are not tithing as required by God. I was one person who did not tithe faithfully till I read her book.

She also warns us to be on our toes all the time now as the Lord is quickly making His return very soon. We have to ensure our garments are clean at His return. She is warning us against complacency . That’s all. What doctrine is wrong ?

Her book tells us that both Christians and non-Christians should be made aware of what is going to take place soon. No one should be taken unaware. I can’t see anything wrong with that either. In fact I have given people I know a few copies of her book that I bought.

Please remember, before Christ comes for His church, the church will be made holy as it should be. God will bring about this change into our churches and our lives.

Christians who live lives unworthily might not make it ! I want to heed that as it sounds very serious.

So I would want all of us to be warned rather than taking the message lightly.

The Holy Spirit did not tell me to ignore her book but in fact put a desire in me to share the book with others. I will continue to do so. The name of Jesus is glorified in this book. I can’t see anything unbiblical in it. If you have, please tell me. I am interested to know.

    God bless.

  32. Deborah Says:

    Hi Prakash

    >> If Choo Thomas is lying, why then she tells everyone she meets everywhere about Jesus?

You must understand that Satan will do ANYTHING to capture you into deception. Just because someone says the name of Jesus and preaches using His name does not mean they are following the Jesus of the bible. And Jesus specifically wrote about this in the bible where he said: Matthew 7 v 21-23 21″Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

    >> I know Choo mentions about tithes and obedience that are fundamental to enter into the Kindgom of God. Nothing unholy (or disobedient) can enter. So, what’s wrong with that ?

There is NOTHING you can PHYSICALLY do on this earth that will get you into heaven. You are saved by GRACE and not WORKS. For the bible says:

Ephesians 2 v 1-10 ” 1As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature[a] and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. 4But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast. 10For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

So now that we have established that it is impossible to be Holy through works. How so then are we going to get into Heaven? Well, as I am sure you know Jesus became a sacrifice for us that we may be ‘holy’ before God. When you get TRULY saved and the Holy Spirit abides in you, you WILL change your ways and you WILL know when you are doing something wrong for the Holy Spirit convicts one of sin. Having the Holy Spirit abide in us automatically enables us to try live a life that is pleasing to God (but again because we are born of sin) we will always sin hence we will constantly repent for our sins.

As for tithing. Well…Jesus came to fulfill the law. We are saved by GRACE and not LAW (works). If you are to follow even 1 Mosaic/Levitical Law you are to follow all of them, for Galations is pretty clear about this:

    Galatians 3:10-14
10 All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.” 11 Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, “The righteous will live by faith.” 12 The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, “The man who does these things will live by them.” 13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.” 14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.

In the New Testament tithing was replaced with ‘giving joyfully’. When you are truly saved you will want to give joyfully. There is NO stipulated amount as to how much you need to give. Jesus only says, give with a cheerful heart. Now if Choo says that we have to pay thithes in order to get into Heaven and you fall for this, you have placed yourself under a curse. In fact if you view tithe paying as a pre-requisite to getting into Heaven in a way you are actually denying Jesus’ Christs sacrifice in the cross.

    >> I was one person who did not tithe faithfully till I read her book.

Have you ever read the bible?

    >> She also warns us to be on our toes all the time now as the Lord is quickly making His return very soon. We have to ensure our garments are clean at His return. She is warning us against complacency . That’s all. What doctrine is wrong ?

Firslt, Jesus can only make your garmets spotless - you can’t do this. Choo also says that her book is all we need to read in order to understand. So her book has replaced the bible as far as she is concerned. Secondly the bible tells us umpteen times that Jesus is coming soon so why oh why did is it that only Choo could get you to understand? Is Jesus words not good enough?

    >> Please remember, before Christ comes for His church, the church will be made holy as it should be. God will bring about this change into our churches and our lives.

Yes, through persecution. The faithful will be seperated from the current church as it stand today.

    >> The Holy Spirit did not tell me to ignore her book but in fact put a desire in me to share the book with others.

Deception at it’s finest. It’s amazing, no one goes around sharing the bible with their friends. However Choo’s book gets referred and passed around like it’s going out of fashion. If anything, you should share the bible with your friends- it’s a better book!

    >> I can’t see anything unbiblical in it. If you have, please tell me. I am interested to know.

I have mentioned above in my article and in my above comments what is uniblical about this book. Never the less, see if you can find scripture in the bible to back up these things: the warehouse of aborted babies, the pain she experiences during her ‘visitations’, the erratic and uncontrollable movements of her hands, why she is sometimes afraid of this manifestation and the barren land for disobedient Christians. As I said to another lady who commented a while ago, ‘that should keep you busy for the next few years’.

The reason why people are led off the beated track is because we are too lazy to read the bible and rely on other people to tell us what is supposably says. And because THEY TELL US they are anointed and God spoke to them we believe them. Well, this is not the case, God tells YOU (yes you) to TEST every word that is spoken by man against the bible. And that means EVERYTHING! God wasn’t trying to be funny or pretty when he asked us to do this for He knew that there are people out there proclaiming His name and saying that He visited them and gave them messages when He did NOT!

What God says about false prophets:

    Jeremiah 23 1-4, 10,11,13,16,21-40

    The Righteous Branch
1 “Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of my pasture!” declares the LORD.
2 Therefore this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says to the shepherds who tend my people: “Because you have scattered my flock and driven them away and have not bestowed care on them, I will bestow punishment on you for the evil you have done,” declares the LORD.
3 “I myself will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them and will bring them back to their pasture, where they will be fruitful and increase in number.
4 I will place shepherds over them who will tend them, and they will no longer be afraid or terrified, nor will any be missing,” declares the LORD.

    Lying Prophets
10 “The land is full of adulterers; because of the curse the land lies parched and the pastures in the desert are withered. The prophets follow an evil course and use their power unjustly.
11 Both prophet and priest are godless; even in my temple I find their wickedness”, declares the LORD.
13 Among the prophets of Samaria I saw this repulsive thing: They prophesied by Baal and led my people Israel astray.
16 This is what the LORD Almighty says: “Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD.”
21 I did not send these prophets, yet they have run with their message; I did not speak to them, yet they have prophesied.
22 But if they had stood in my council, they would have proclaimed my words to my people and would have turned them from their evil ways and from their evil deeds.
23 “Am I only a God nearby,” declares the LORD, “and not a God far away?
24 Can anyone hide in secret places so that I cannot see him?” declares the LORD. “Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the LORD.
25 I have heard what the prophets say who prophesy lies in my name. They say, ‘I had a dream! I had a dream!’
26 How long will this continue in the hearts of these lying prophets, who prophesy the delusions of their own minds?
27 They think the dreams they tell one another will make my people forget my name, just as their fathers forgot my name through Baal worship.
28 Let the prophet who has a dream tell his dream, but let the one who has my word speak it faithfully. For what has straw to do with grain?” declares the LORD.
29 “Is not my word like fire,” declares the LORD, “and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?
30 “Therefore,” declares the LORD, “I am against the prophets who steal from one another words supposedly from me.
31 Yes,” declares the LORD, “I am against the prophets who wag their own tongues and yet declare, ‘The LORD declares.’
32 Indeed, I am against those who prophesy false dreams,” declares the LORD. “They tell them and lead my people astray with their reckless lies, yet I did not send or appoint them. They do not benefit these people in the least,” declares the LORD.

    False Oracles and False Prophets
33 “When these people, or a prophet or a priest, ask you, ‘What is the oracle of the LORD ?’ say to them, ‘What oracle? I will forsake you, declares the LORD.’
34 If a prophet or a priest or anyone else claims, ‘This is the oracle of the LORD,’ I will punish that man and his household.
35 This is what each of you keeps on saying to his friend or relative: ‘What is the LORD’s answer?’ or ‘What has the LORD spoken?’
36 But you must not mention ‘the oracle of the LORD ‘ again, because every man’s own word becomes his oracle and so you distort the words of the living God, the LORD Almighty, our God.
37 This is what you keep saying to a prophet: ‘What is the LORD’s answer to you?’ or ‘What has the LORD spoken?’
38 Although you claim, ‘This is the oracle of the LORD,’ this is what the LORD says: You used the words, ‘This is the oracle of the LORD,’ even though I told you that you must not claim, ‘This is the oracle of the LORD.’
39 Therefore, I will surely forget you and cast you out of my presence along with the city I gave to you and your fathers.
40 I will bring upon you everlasting disgrace—everlasting shame that will not be forgotten.”

How to test: When you read a book or hear a sermon preached you need to pick up your bible, find the verse (if one is even mentioned) and read it for yourself. Most of the time you will need to read the entire chapter to understand fully what is being said. You CAN’T take anothers word when they say what they have written is true. The only words that are true are the words in the bible. NOTHING ELSE!

  33. Casey Says:

Well said, Deborah!Good job.Could’ve said it better my self.God has given you discernment and you use it wisely.Searching for true answers seems like a journey, but its well worth your life and your mind.Protect from the devil. He does seek to deceive anyone who is weak.”test the spirits whether they be from god.”

  34. Deborah Says:

    Thank you Casey!!

  35. Prakash Says:

Why are you being so negative ? Why do you question so many things unnecessarily? You really sound like the Scribes and the Pharisees during the days of jesus.

Tell me where in Choo Nam’s book did she mention that her book will replace the Bible?

You are so narrow minded. Open-up. We need books like this to give a wake up call to all Christians in the world to keep our garments clean before His return. Only God can make us clean but His word also says Be ye Holy as I am Holy. This requires a certain effort from our part to guard ourselves from the sins of the world.

All that her book says is to encourage people to come back to God and put Him first in everything. The Bible is the word of God but how many people read the Bible read it every year not to mention everyday. So, we need books like this to capture their attention towards the Bible.

What is so false about Choo Thomas’s writings? Isn;t the Lord coming back soon ? Isn;t the rapture going to happen? Isn’t the world going to go through tribulation period soon? What is contradicting the Bible?

The gospel of John says that if everything that Jesus did and said were to be written, the world would not be able to contain the books ! Is this an exaggeration? God doesn;t need exagerration, right? There are many more things we need to know about Heaven and about the things of God. This book just explains the reality of Heaven and that the Lord wants all of us to be prepared to enter it and not to miss it.

Don’t reject the book just because she says non-tithers (disobedient christians)will not enter heaven. Yes, we are under grace and no longer under the law but the new covenant cannot exist without the old convenant. Who wrote the new testament after Christ died? Were there gospels during that time? Did they not refer to the Old book? Everyone (apostles, etc) was referring to the Old Testament book and saw the fulfillment of the prophecies !

Just as the new testament is better than the Old testament, the new convenant standards are higher than the old. The law said, Do not commit adultery. But the new covenant says , if you see a woman lustfully you have already committed adultery !!! Not fair huh? How can God say we committed adultery when we did not perform it? We only saw and thought in our minds ….!!! Hey, the point is grace under the new covenant does not exempt us from deliberately sinning and getting away with it. Sin is still sin and if we have commited it, we must ask forgiveness and He is ever willing to forgive and that’s what grace is about.

The same goes for tithes. If the Old testament people paid tithes, how much more we should ? Don’t give me the joyful giving thing. Even in the Old testament days , the people were required to give joyfully and willingly.

Tithes is a requirement to support the church adminstrations and God’s servants. How else are we to manage the church without tithes? You tell me.

Yes, I read the Bible everyday and there are so many mysteries in the those words waiting to be explored. For e.g Psalms 12:6 says ” The words of the LORD are pure words, as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. ” If the word of God is pure in the first place, then why does it need to be purified 7 times? Explain that if you have wisdom.

Do not go around fault finding at everybody !!! If everyone has discernment of the spirit, then they will know if what others say is from God or not. The Holy Spirit will bear witness with us. You do not have to say where in the Bible is it written …each and every time …. common on Deborah !!! You don;t have to tell or warn anyone whether it’s from God or not.

    Enough said.

  36. Deborah Says:

    Hi Prakash

You sound like a perfect candidate to be deceived. I pray the Holy Spirit speaks to you about this issue and shows you that were there is ERROR mixed in with TRUTH it always leads to ERROR.

    >> Psalms 12:6 says ” The words of the LORD are pure words, as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. ” If the word of God is pure in the first place, then why does it need to be purified 7 times? Explain that if you have wisdom.

This is a metaphor to describe the pureness of the words of God. God’s word IS AS pure as silver tried 7 times in the furnace of the earth . It’s NOT that it needs to be purified 7 times in order for it to be pure. His word IT AS pure as silver tried 7 times in a furnace.

Very typical answer Deborah ! Anyone can answer that. No revelations?
What does that verse speak to you more than what you just said? There is a mystery in that verse. Find out. I have.

I would gladly be decieved to give my tithes and offerings according to the word of God which I believe with every fibre in my being than to not pay tithes and end up on the wrong side. How deceived can I be if at last I found out that Jesus did not require me to pay tithes. But what if it otherwise? Remember the Just shall live by faith. I’d rather not live by my own means. I personally experienced breakthroughs in my finances after paying tithes and offerings faithfully. Miracles started happening. My conscience tells me what I’m doing is pleasing God and He blesses me for that.

We are under grace. Yes. No doubt about that. But we are also responsible for our actions. Once saved is not always saved if you live an unworthy and unrepentant life.

I need to be washed by the blood of Jesus everyday as I live in this sinful world and some of it rub off on me. My prayer is to fear God and Him alone and ensure my garment is clean and spotless always.

I was transformed by the power of God from being a drunkard and heavy smoker just like that in a single day. Never touched or lighted a cigarrete ever since …7 years . I shudder to think that I can go into drinking and smoking again and expect God to allow me into heaven when I die not repenting from my sins.

I love God with all my heart and I believe nothing in this world or in the world to come can separate me from the love of Jesus.

So can all of us if we obey Him fully.

    Hi Prakash

Go ahead and believe in Choo’s violent manifestations etc, etc, etc, only the Holy Spirit can show you how NOT OF GOD this is.

  39. Deborah Says:

    Hi there

I would like to add to this argument between Deborah & Prakash. At this stage nobody will be able to tell whether this book is really the truth, and therefore we can all keep arguing. The main thing is that the Bible warns against false prophets in the last days that will preach beautiful messages in God’s Name. But like I said, there’s no way we will ever know for real and therefore it is safer to stick to the Bible.

Personally I feel that if you truly believe in God then you will no doubt believe God’s Word (the Bible) – right? Why would God want someone to write a book to tell His children that heaven is real? Hasn’t He already assured us of that in His Word? And as for people who don’t believe in heaven… If they don’t believe in heaven even though the Bible says its real, do you really think they will believe so after reading some book? If some of God’s children don’t even believe this book, how would any non-Christians believe it? God’s Word tells us that heaven is real, why should there be other books that tell us that it is?

As for the part about only people with pure hearts getting into heaven, I’m not sure if I could believe that. If that was the case, NO ONE will ever get into heaven, because none of us will ever have pure hearts – we’re human!! We should in all ways try to be pure, but God loves us with our mistakes and all. Look at some of the most important figures in the Bible:

Moses, the humblest man on earth, had a temper and murdered (Num 12:13 & Ex 2 & 32)

Noah, the last righteous man at his time, was a drunk (Gen 9:20-21)

Abraham, the forefather of faith, let other men walk off with his wife twice (Gen 12 & 20)

    Jacob, who out-wrestled God, was pretty much a pathological deceiver (Gen 25 & 27 & 30)

David, the friend of God, concealed his adultery with murder (2 Sam 11)

and Solomon, the wisest man in the world, was arguably the world’s greatest sex addict with 1000 sex partners (1 Kings 11) – YOU THINK THEY DIDN’T GO TO HEAVEN?

Of course they did! But none of them were perfect. The only person who ever walked this earth with a pure heart was Jesus!! But there is nothing that the blood of Jesus can’t wash clean, and therefore with His love & forgiveness, we can all get into heaven. Jesus said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life… nobody gets to the Father but through Me.” We will never be pure of heart, but we will forever be washed clean by Jesus’ blood… I’m sure that can get all God’s children into heaven. (Phakash, I think if you have been washed with the Blood of Jesus, there’s no need to do it everyday, don’t underestimate the power of Jesus’ blood – as for our sins we do everyday, you just need to pray about it and repent)

We should all stop focusing on this book, it’s meaningless arguing about something we don’t know the truth about and put our focus back on the one & only true Word of God.

    And email from Lensa Feyissa-Rozelle

    Dear Deborah

I guess I am not able to add comment to the blog regarding the book “Heaven is So Real” by Thomas. I read your blog comments and was greatly saddened by it for a number of reasons. My mother recommended I read that book, and I read it and now giving it to other people to read; saved and unsaved alike. I am a person that’s been saved and filled by the Holy Spirit. I have the Spirit of God that bears witness to my spirit about what’s right and what’s wrong. I don’t think that the author wrote this book to replace the Bible in any way, but the testimony of a person is very powerful in making drastic changes in people’s lives. I know so many people whose lives have been turned around after listening to other people testify of what Jesus/God did in their lives. I for one have been very blessed by the book and will recommend it to anyone that will have an open mind and desire to know about God. Since reading the book, I have been aware of some of the things that I have been complacent about in my life in the past. If this book pushed me or urged me to seek Jesus/God more, so be it. I read my bible and pray more and have been happier than ever before and so I thank God for the book and for Thomas. (Her book didn’t make me happier, but getting to know Him more and spending time with Him more did) Sometimes the truth can hurt when it stares you in the face and for some people I imagine this may have happened which could prompt them to label the book or author other than something/someone that’s trying to tell the truth. I like your zeal for Jesus.

    God Bless You!

  41. Deborah Says:

    Dear Lensa

It’s not about the so called ‘truth’ that hurts in her book that people are against. (Well actually yes, because most of it is unscriptural). It’s a lot to do with the fact that the jesus that appeared to her was not Jesus but an angel of light. The word deception means just that, Satan will come as an impostor jesus and tell you things that appear biblical, in fact they seem so biblical it’s very difficult to distinguish the two from each other. So how do we distinguish? We weight and test what is written by man against the Word of God 100%. This book makes millions of people happy for indeed it makes you feel like you have gained a new relationship with God, it makes you want to open you bible and read it more. But what you don’t realise is that you have accepted her visions and violent manifestations as being of God. So when someone else writes a book even weirder than hers you will believe that too because it also seems to bring you closer to God, and then someone else writes another book even weirder and tells you that the Urantia book is part of the bible, because Jesus’ words are in there too, and you believe it for you were deceived from the very beginning by accepting little lies (actually big lies) from Choo Thomas and the hundreds of other false teachers out there.

Go look at this website and tell me if you think the jesus presented on this website is Jesus Christ? http://www.truthbook.com Can you see how utterly subtle it is? Can you see how the words this jesus speaks are sooo close to the words Jesus Christ spoke in the bible? In fact you almost can’t tell the difference. Can you see the deception? I pray you can…please, throw Choo’s book away, repent, and anything that has attached itself to you will go and stick to the Word of God and the Word of God only.

The Word of God is the ultimate Word, anything that does not appear in the bible is what is called extra-biblical like for instance Choo seeing a 3rd place where ‘disobedient’ Christians wander around aimlessly, NO, it’s not in the bible. So did God forget to put this in the bible? Or did her jesus lie? And if her jesus is Jesus Christ who is God then why did He fail to mention it in His infallible Word - the Bible contains EVERYTHING we need to know.

You see people can’t grasp the concept that Satan would present something so biblical and nice and happy that would so called ‘re-new’ your relationship with God, but that’s the master of deception. You think it has re-newed you, and you feel so close to God, but it’s deception for you have opened a door into accepting other stranger things that will come your way thinking it’s of God as well and before you know it your relationship with the REAL Jesus will be in tatters. Satan is the master of deception!

I honestly pray that you take Choo’s book and pick up your bible and google the Internet to find out if what Choo has said in her book can be found in the bible. You won’t be able too, I will tell you that now…but I ask you too try never the less for your own sanity. Being deceived is one of the ugliest things that can happen to a Christian, but don’t take it too hard, praise Jesus that He showed you the truth as per His Word and you were set free. And I can tell you once you see the truth you will have a genuinely re-newed relationship with God unlike anything you have every had - why? Because you listened to Him and you were obedient to Him in testing and weighing ALL things against His Word as he commanded you.

I know…I was in your position, I too read her book and felt that happiness come over me as if I had just found a greater ‘faith’ in Jesus. But the Holy Spirit kept telling me something was wrong and I through it was Satan trying to rob me of my new found happiness in Jesus. It was a battle of battles that when I finally listened to God the burden over me was broken and my faith grew in leaps and bounds in a genuine manner (no emotions involved). Choo’s book produces ‘emotions’ in the reader: happiness, love, warmth comes over you, you want to cry etc, these ‘emotions’ one feels when reading her book seem to completely blot out what the Holy Spirit is warning you against - for how can Satan produce such happiness? Because it’s a fake happiness and it wont last long and he has steered you in a path of accepting strange things that are not of God.

Have you found yourself wishing to have visions and manifestations like Choo? Have you found yourself praying asking God to ‘anoint’ you? Or you want to visit Heaven? Well…there’s your deception, be careful you might just get what you ask for, but it wont be coming from God. But you think it does because you were praying to Him when you asked for these things, so how can Satan possibly intervene and grant your wish? Because you disobeyed God’s word to test the spirits and weight everything against his Word and because of that you fell into deception.

The battle we have in the end times is one of not being the ‘christian’ who ends up in the category of the ‘falling away’. Most of these false teachers believe that we are to create a Kingdom for Jesus to present to Him when he returns. That we can go out there and reclaim the earth - make all the people in the whole world Christians. But the Bible says, when the Son of Man returns He doubts he will find any faith left on earth. That’s very different to what these so called pastors are preaching - Choo included. So what ‘faith’ is this Kingdom or new move into the supernatural aka new wineskin built on? A deception? One where they think they are worshipping Jesus when in fact it’s another jesus and another gospel.

Please, please…pray about this in earnest, your salvation depends on not falling for the ‘great deception’. The great deception is for Christians (God separating the obedient from the disobedient - those who love the truth who test and weigh everything against His Word vs those that go with ‘emotions’ and ‘experiences’ instead).

Unbelievers don’t need to be deceived, they are already.

    Hi Deborah,

I got to this site when I looked for some articles about how false Choo Thomas is. Your explanation is really good.

I got the book from one of the sisters at church. She is actually a very nice and sweet person. When she gave me this book she said that it’s very interesting and good book. Well, I read it (only till page 20) and stopped. I thought the shaking experience Choo had was like the Kundalini symtomps on your other post. What she said about how Jesus ‘addores’ her makes me feel uncomfortable. So, now I’m planning to give back the book to her and explain her about what’s wrong with the book. I only don’t know how to tell her about it without hurting her. Because she highlighted some parts in the book and for sure it means that she really likes and studied the book. Please can you help me how to tell her how wrong the book is without hurting her feeling?

    Thanks a lot.

    Lord Jesus be with us.

  44. Deborah Says:

    Hi Saron

This is a tough question and one that I had to deal with myself on 3 seperate occassions - on 2 seperate occassions when I told the person it did not go down well with them. And I tried 3 different approaches. I finally realised our solutions to problems are not always the best ways.

The best way is to pray about it and ask our Heavently Father how to go about it and how to explain it to her. Ask Him to help her understand and let His Holy Spirit speak to her.

Be gentle and just tell her that as much as the book seems really biblical the manifestations concern you as well as some of the stuff she mentions that is not in the bible.

God’s Word to us is final and there is nothing ‘new’ that we need to know. Any ‘revelation’ we receive comes from the Holy Spirit with regards to the already written Word of God, not with regards to ‘new’ ideas (christians wondering around aimlessly in a desolate place etc).

Tell her that Choo’s book uses the bible and scripture to make us believe that her story is truly from God, however the errors outweight the possibility that this is the case. Jesus never contradicts Himself and the Holy Spirit would never cause someome to suffer through violent twitchings and convulsions.

Tithing is not a pre-requisite to get into heaven either, you are saved because you accept Jesus Christ as your saviour and repent
